Top Twenty-Five Mission Statement: Marketing Department The department of marketing will continue to have a profound influence on the teaching and practice of Cold War American marketing. We insist that all department members hold to the highest academic and professional standards. We will continue to guide current and future business leaders to frame and solve problems that never existed. We will eradicate individual initiative and effort by demanding team-based learning. We strive to make our department a model of diversity in all areas except thought. We will change the words motivation to creativity, case method to learning model, quantitative methods to analytic reasoning, making money to sustaining value, and working together in groups to self-assembled teams. To create intellectual capital, achieve our full potential, maintain high community standards, foster sound judgment, and hone our skills for the next thousand years. We will not circulate new knowledge by reading, quoting, publishing, inviting to speak, or hiring other storytellers.
