Is Chivalry Dead in Marketing?
I David Morris, Ph.D., challenge one professor from each of the top twenty-five business schools to discuss their current understanding of value of academic marketing.
The Rules
One professor from each program up to 25 challengers. Must be tenured. Must consider him or her self to be a leader in the field of marketing.
The American Marketing Association should assume the rights and profits from each discussion. The AMA will offer the discussions for on the internet for free and sale in paper, tape, digital, and video forms. Profits from AMA sales will be divided equally and give as an inclusive scholarship to all marketing community college students in the world who wish to apply to a four-year institution. The scholarship will only be awarded once per student.
The costs of the event will be incurred by each of the top twenty-five participating business schools. The event will be held at a community college that wishes to participate. The community college will be chosen by the AMA by a drawing from a hat. The event should be available to all business students through a live hook up to the internet.
Any professor from a top twenty-five university who wishes to step forward, contact me and we will arrange a one to one discussion of ideas. Well, what about it you know who? Will you be first? The gauntlet has been thrown. If you come on mass you may not be afraid. Twenty-five to one seems fair.
